Beams of SMM – 1

Thanks to all who participated in the first Sunshine’s Macro Monday this week.  I was so incredibly pleased with all the photos that were submitted.  Every Friday, I will be posting a list of all the entries on the previous Monday titled Beams of SMM (Sunshine’s Macro Monday).   Please take a minute and look through the posts.  I guarantee that you will enjoy them and will be encouraged to get out there and click some more.    I know that is how I ended up feeling every time I glanced at them this week.  I think I got everyone on the list but if I missed you, please let me know.

First we have AJ who created a beautiful gallery of macro shots from insects to flowers.  Next is Helen who gathered several amazing shots of a difficult subject – a Painted Lady butterfly.  With one gallery from her perennial garden and another from her vegetable garden, is Smitha’s Bake Love.  The perennial garden is full of bright colors and I could almost smell the mint from the vegetable garden.  Now, lolaWi brought my favorite macro subject to the party – water drops on a pretty white flower.  Very nice, indeed.  I was so excited to see that as busy as Cee must be kept will her own challenges, she also posted a macro shot of a daylily for this challenge.  Thanks, Cee.

Sunflowers scream summer and Mike posted a lovely shot of a sunflower that made me smile.  For Kamerapromenader, bees were buzzing all over a purple coneflower in the botanical garden.  Busboys World brought the wonderful detail from inside a passion flower and it is lovely.  Robert brought out the details of macro in monochrome with eye-catching results.  Fear of a sting was not apparent in Xingful Mama’s capture of wasps on the blooming leeks with a wonderful depth of field as well.  Anita did a wonderful job of proving that the camera on a phone can also do a great job with close up photography.  Don’t think I would have known her shots were taken with a phone if she had not mentioned it.  City Sonnet also brought my favorite subject – Water drops on colorful geraniums.  Simply beautiful!

This week’s new Sunshine’s Macro Monday post will go live at 6:00 this evening (Sunday) US Central Time.   Come back as often as you like throughout the week and post your macro shots.  If I missed your entry, please let me know.

    1. Absolutely agree with you. 😊 The photos made me want to get out there and spend even more time working on macro. Gotta work capturing more butterflies and dragonflies before they are gone for the year.
